Selecting an Invoice Save Option
There are five ways to save an invoice.
- Save Draft - This option allows you to save the invoice with a Draft document status. Invoices with this status can be edited at a later date. All options in the screen are available to you in addition to editing specific fields, and adding lines. To access this option, select File, and then select Save Draft option from the toolbar.
- Save and New - Select this option to save the invoice with a Completed document status, and then create a new invoice.
- Save and New Parts Return - This option saves the invoice with a Completed document status, and then opens the Credit Memo Parts Return screen.
- Save and New Partial Credit - Selecting this option saves the invoice with a Completed document status, and then opens the Credit Memo Partial Credit screen.
- Save and Close - This option saves the invoice with a Completed document status.
Note: Invoices with a document status of Completed only allow you to edit the Payment Type, Check Number, Invoice #, and Invoice Date fields.
